There’s a certain feeling when you step into our Devil’s Den dining room that’s difficult to put into words. You’ve arrived here together, in the heart of the North West, bonding over your shared experiences in this place called Tasmania. Whether you’re an avid traveler or a local in search of something more, here at Gleneagle we invite you to step back and revel in luxurious simplicity.
Cook, lounge and tell tales over a quality Tasmanian wine or tipple while enjoying a high-quality fare over a roaring fire. The best part? Everything is made to your liking. You cooked it yourself after all.
Guests have the option of enjoying their platter in their dome, sampling the local restaurants or mixing with the other two guests at Devils Den. A great time to be had for group bookings as well.

We have a range of food options but we understand that you might want to stock up on old favorites before your stay.
Before you arrive: Penguin, (10 minutes away to the North) has two supermarkets. There is also an IGA supermarket at South Riana (5 minutes drive to the south) if you are traveling from the opposite direction or in need that forgotten item during your stay. Our hosts may be able to help also.

We can facilitate the ordering of all of our food packages through our booking platform if you are booking directly through our website.
However, if you book through AirBnB, Bookings.com or would like these options included after you have booked please contact us to organise your food packages. (It is advised to give us 4 days notice prior to your arrival to avoid dissapointment.)
All alcohol purchases are paid for via our honesty bar. -
Breakfast packs are delivered to Devil's Den at 7.30 am daily.
Dinner packs are delivered to Devil's Den fridges prior to 5 pm.
Platters if ordered are available from check-in and will be located in your dome’s bar fridge.
Our platters are designed to be consumed within the privacy of your dome if you so choose. But with surroundings as beautiful as Gleneagles you may be inclined to venture out for a picnic!

Upon your arrival, we will point out where Devil's Den kitchen is.
This comfortable modern den is separate from your dome and is equipped with gas cookers, fridges, a bbq, multi-media player, a fire pit and a wood heater in a sheltered and convenient location for guests to cook and enjoy their meals while relaxing around the fire pit or the wood heater. Devils Den is a short stroll from either dome or can be accessed with your vehicle via the road network.

We provide in-room backpack, thermos and wine cooler for you to utilise during your stay so you can take your platter to enjoy in any area of your choosing. The paddock has gas BBQ facilities. If you’d like assistance setting up a romantic platter please let us know as we’d love to help you find the perfect spot on our property.

We do our best to cater to food intolerances, allergies or dietary requirements, however it is not always possible, Gleneagle Tasmania will not take responsibility and encourage to self cater in those cases.

If dining out is preferred then the local town of Penguin has excellent offerings for example at the Penguin Beer Co. and Seasons By The Sea. Menus are located in your Information Booklet located in your dome.
